Senior Structural Engineer

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree
  • Obtained Professional Engineer licensure. Structural Engineer licensure is a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

 

Duties 

  • Perform engineering design and calculations
  • Produce construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD and specifications
  • Attend design coordination meetings
  • Review of submittals and shop drawings
  • Conduct field observations of projects under construction

  • Assist Principals and guide Staff in successful achievement of company mission
  • Complete assigned tasks as efficiently as possible and with minimal oversight of Principals
  • Continually work to gain knowledge and experience
  • Maintain and establish business relationships with your peers, clients, suppliers, other consultants, and contractors
  • Practice good communication and organizational skills
  • Manage and lead Technicians and Project Engineers in the production of Construction Documents while providing constructive feedback
  • Reinforce proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, structural engineering design software, and in the design and detailing of structural systems including; light and heavy timber, structural steel, masonry, both mild and post-tensioned concrete, various foundation systems, cold-formed steel framing, and precast structures

  • Explores useful continuing education opportunities to stay proficient and learn latest methods of structural design and construction
  • Mentors technicians and junior project engineers in their growth opportunities
  • Develops and maintains specification, drawing, and project standards
