Project Engineer II

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree with a structural emphasis from an accredited university
  • Obtained or ability to obtain Professional Engineer licensure within 1 year of employment. Structural Engineer licensure is a plus
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience (graduate education is applicable)
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

 

Duties 

  • Perform engineering design and calculations
  • Produce construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Attend design coordination meetings
  • Review of submittals and shop drawings
  • Conduct field observations of projects under construction

  • Assist Principals and Staff in successful achievement of company mission
  • Complete assigned tasks as efficiently as possible
  • Continually work to gain knowledge and experience
  • Maintain and establish business relationships with your peers, clients, suppliers, other consultants, and contractors
  • Exhibit good communication and organizational skills
  • Manage Technicians in the production of Construction Documents while providing constructive feedback

 

Growth Goals

  • Display proficiency in Bentley RAM Structural Software, Enercalc, Adapt and other structural engineering design programs
  • Display proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Display proficiency in the design and detailing of structural systems including: light and heavy timber, structural steel, masonry, both mild and post-tensioned concrete, various foundation systems, cold-formed steel framing, and precast structures
