The mission of Lynch, Harrison & Brumleve, Inc. is to provide quality and efficient structural design to its clients, on time and within budget. LHB provides leadership to its clients and fulfills client needs with energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and accuracy.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Enrollment in a post-secondary Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program from an accredited university
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  
  

Duties 

• Work as an integral part of the structural design team
• Aid Project Engineers in different aspects of the building design process
• Assist in performing engineering design and calculations
• Aid in producing construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
• Review shop drawings and construction submittals
• Assist in field observations of projects under construction

• Assist Principals and Staff in successful achievement of company mission
• Complete assigned tasks
• Ask questions about tasks you are assigned and when you are uncertain
• Continually work to gain knowledge and experience
• Practice good communication and organizational skills
  
  

Growth Goals

• Develop familiarity with the everyday tasks of a Project Engineer
• Gain knowledge of structural engineering principles and how they apply in practice
• Advance proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and structural design software
• Increase proficiency in the design and detailing of structural systems including: light and heavy timber, structural steel, masonry, both mild and post-tensioned concrete, various foundation systems, cold-formed steel framing, and precast structures
• Produce a final report and presentation of the internship experience
